DESCRIPTION

Goalkeeper moves across the goal to face shots from varying angles. Drills the most important physical attribute in modern goalkeeping — efficient lateral movement.

COACHING POINTS

• Side-step, don\'t cross feet — never get caught off-balance
• Stay on the balls of the feet, knees bent
• Set position before the shot — don\'t be moving when the ball is struck
• Angles: position to make the goal look small for the shooter
• Set, save, recover — every save ends with you balanced
